!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
Look at that pillar-less goodness. This thing keeps growing on me, and I’m having to stop myself from going to look at it and wasting the seller’s time. I have nowhere undercover to store it, and I would feel terrible if I bought it and it began to deteriorate, since all I could do is street park it. Still, I love it, and I keep a look out for a larger garage up for rent that isn’t exorbitantly priced, or even a carport...not ideal, but better than nothing I guess. Although I’d get nervous about it sitting out if it wasn’t where I could keep an eye on it all the time, or know that’s locked up in a garage.
There’s also an old Impala in my neighbourhood, that looks like it’s a daily. I’ve been trying to catch it parked and leave a note on it....
This glorious old thing.

they both have certain appeal.

That’s okay. I’ve been looking at ‘72-’90 Dodge 4x4s for like 3 weeks now.

Wouldn’t you really rather have a Buick?

That’s too clean not to buy

That interior is too good. Green needs to make a come back in the automotive world.
Also it would be great if it was parked in spot number 65 not 61. So close,

Buick is much cleaner. Go for the old Buick! 401 Big Block! Much torque! Such fuel!
EDIT - Seriously though, the paint and chrome look straight and clean on the Buick. The cost of getting chrome straightened and/or replated is ridiculous, so that’s a lot of money saved right there. And it looks like there’s hardly ay rust.

It’s nice and all but if you ever wanted to sell it you would be stuck in the same boat that guy is stuck in right now. Nobody wants a 4 door classic car.

I’d hope to get it for a bit less since he’s having so much trouble selling, but yeah you’re right. It’s weird, I love old four doors, I don’t understand why more people don’t want them

The Buick is actually for sale too, I have no idea if the owner of the impala wants to sell. The main problem is still parking though

It’s so clean. Parking is still the problem though

Oh, by the way, just undercoat it and make sure you keep it clean. A few nicks here and there are okay, they can be fixed with touchup paint.

I’m worried about the sun in the summer, too. The paint and interior wouldn’t look so good after too long siting in the sun I don’t imagine

Well, that’s why you keep a good coat of wax on it. A good dash pad should protect the, well, dash. Same with the package tray.
(I’m an enabler.)

Maybe a storage unit is cheap

They’re not particularly cheap, and not very close to me either. I’m tempted to wander my neighbourhood leaving notes in carports asking to rent them lol

Or leave it at a family members with extra space

As a 1972 4-door HT Electra owner, I approve. The ad has some strange quirks to it but the car is worth a look if you have the room. It probably should be garaged, definitely from Oct to April.

I emailed the guy a bit, seems like an unusual person, the “$2500 worth of worth to be roadworthy” is apparently how much it is to re-seal the motor with the full gasket set he has with the car. It’s still running and can drive around, just leaking oil. I definitely don’t have room, but I’m trying to find somewhere it could go. I’ll likely be unsuccessful, but I that means more money for my friends truck when I buy it in a month or so.

Any family with extra space is hours away unfortunately. It could work, I’d just never get to drive it. I suppose I could keep it here during the summer, and store it there over the winter, but that’s still less than ideal. Realistically I should wait until I have a place with a big garage.
